A group of iPhone hackers are claiming they have cracked the latest iPhone 3G. The iPhone Dev Team which cracked the original iPhone, now claim they have cracked the latest iPhone 3G iPhone 2.0.
In a blog post the iPhone Dev team also announced the PwnageTool 2.0 tool which is a very easy to use tool to jailbreak the iPhone and run unofficial third party apps. The post also contains a video showing the app in action, although I have not watched this myself yet.
It has also been claimed the iPhone Dev team have unlocked the iPhone so any carrier/network can be used.

Well remember we talked about iPhone hacking, days ago? There are many software’s available in the market that help you to unlock iPhone. I really don’t understand what fun these guys have, but seriously I am against this hacking. I came across this news that I thought is most important for all those of you interested in hacking iPhone.
The news is that even Apple is against this hacking (naturally). Steve took a step forward and announced that unlocking iPhone may damage your ‘expensive iPhone’ very badly up to the extent that it may stop working and be of no use. This will happen if you try to install ‘unauthorized unlocking programmes’ after updating the next “iPhone software”. This new software update is supposed to be full of new features like ‘iTunes’ and ‘Wi-Fi music store”. Great. Ahem. But the main thing is that do you want this to happen to your dear iPhone? The thought itself is freaking me out.
Also those who will tend to do this kind of unauthorized stuff will be terminated from their “iPhone software license agreement” and also from the iPhone warranty. Well it seems that, Apple wants to strictly discourage this hacking process. Good move Steve and beware all you iPhone hackers.
