Iphone in France: an unlocked venture?

Bonjour Monsuvier, bonjour Mademoiselle. Yes, it’s true. All those in France will soon enjoy the Iphone. Now there, don’t give me those looks of disbelief. This ain’t a rumor folks. Orange and Apple have officially announced that Iphone will be launched in France in the last week of November. I know you all are willing to know the price of the phone in France. Ok, let me tell you the price too. The phone will be charged 399 euros here and will also carry facilities like wi-fi and access to the ITunes store. So it’s good news all the way for all those in France.

But then hold it folks. There are some interesting turns in the tale. A rule in France says that a cellphone contract between two parties should be without any contractual obligations. I am sure that all those in France are extremely glad to hear this. And why? Ok, let me set it straight. The rule implies that Iphone would be unlocked! It will be firmware upgradeable and unbrickable in France. The twists don’t end here. If Iphone is unlocked then it will be charged for a mammoth sum of 999 euros!

And the hackers would be all set to do their work. Ok, lets wait and watch.
