iPhone unlocking and Apple

Sep 28, 2007 in iPhone, iPhone Security

There is a lot more bustling happening around after the iPhone unlocking and Steve’s announcement regarding their action against the hacking and unlocking with the help of Apple’s next iPhone software update that can cause problems to your iPhone if unlocked. Well I can see many people tensed who have tried their hands on iPhone unlocking. Still there seems to me some kind of confusion with this announcement.

Ok, let me elaborate. Unlocking iPhone means, using service for iPhone other than “AT&T”, who is an ‘official carrier’ for iPhone. The news says that the next iPhone update by Apple will hamper all the iPhone that are being unlocked. This step has been taken to strictly discourage the unlocking process by iPhone users as it seems to create problems for the iPhone software. Unlocking is generally used by people staying outside US. To curb this practice Apple and AT&T seems to have taken things quiet seriously.

But don’t worry folks, there is yet news that says that though you have done unlocking you can still bring your iPhone back to original state, as many of these applications, after viewing there “service codes” can “reverse the changes” made to the iPhone software. So now the best thing is that, there are some hopes that your iPhone can be on a safer side. So folks, now’s the time to relax and just wait and watch.
